CATCH are delighted to be hosting a series of events on Thursday 7 June highlighting the breadth and depth of services and training activities offered by our @CATCH partners.

All the events are free to attend, you can attend them all or just book on one event of your choice.  If you have never been to see us before this is an excellent opportunity to find out more about CATCH and to meet our professional training partners who offer a wide range of industrial and technical training programmes and health & safety courses for the process, energy engineering and renewable industries.

CATCH Day commences with a breakfast event, starting at 8.00am, with Reynolds Training Services who will be giving a taster session on Emergency Response, introducing the principles and practices – the full course has recently received IOSH approval.

During the morning and early afternoon you can make a selection from a number of events including:

10am-12noon – David Shaw from North Lindsey College will deliver the following session:

  • An overview of Lean/Kiazen and Business improvement Techniques methodologies
  • The history behind the theory
  • The benefits to organisations and individuals
  • How the qualification are delivered
  • An Introduction to some of the process tools used
  • The practical application of Lean within a organisation

13.00-14.30 – Roxby Training Solutions will be delivering a talk around Instrumentation in relation to IEC 61511, DSEAR and ATEX, along with the importance of training in this sector.

1430 to 1600 – Cath Jackson from North Lindsey College will present at taster session on coaching conversations at work.  Why coaching? Coaching is good for business, it leads to increased job satisfaction, engagement and well-being.

Coaching in the workplace can be a difficult skill for managers to master as most managers use a directing work style, rather than achieving it through employee development.

As a manager you will develop your skills so that you will no longer be directing in an authoritarian manner but collaborating with team members to identify, target and plan for performance improvement.

Refreshments and lunch will be available for delegates registering on these free events.

The CATCH team will be on hand throughout the day to meet delegates and offer guided tours of our unique industrial training facilities and introduce you to our @CATCH training partners across the site.
