Electrical Reliability Engineer – Power & Control
Purpose of this role
Apply industry standard techniques in order to systematically identify and eliminate causes of Engineering downtime for the Grimsby site. Drive compliance to the site reliability strategy and maintain alignment and engagement of all manufacturing departments on site in order to improve site reliability.
Key responsibilities of this role
 Contribute to the site reliability strategy
 Collate and communicate reliability data and action plans to maximise plant reliability.
 Assist in driving down business costs through identification and implementation of reliability improvements
 Drive continuous improvement of fixed and rotating equipment reliability
 Identify and lead site wide reliability focus groups
 Provide support to the capital project process and secure capital funding when necessary
 Interpret condition monitoring data and take necessary action as required
 Line management of contractors fairly, firmly, reasonably and consistently
 Ensure that reliability improvement work is executed to the correct standards via internal and external work processes
 Provide a technical engineering interface with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure reliability improvement engineering work is effectively implemented, particularly within the site planned shutdown events
 Ensure all SHE matters are appropriately managed throughout area of responsibility to meet external and internal requirements/standards including own work performance and behaviour
 Actively manage safety by identifying any incidents of Near Misses (Safety and Environmental) and ensure actions are initiated to minimise the risk of recurrence
 Ensures compliance with Global Purchasing Policy GP01

Our expectations of this exciting role
 Minimum 5 years’ experience within an Industrial/Chemical Manufacturing environment
 Engineering degree or equivalent
 NEBOSH certification
 Structured and analytical thinker with excellent standards & integrity
 Professional with excellent interpersonal/communication skills at all levels, internally & externally
 Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution skills
 Able to demonstrate the highest standards with respect to SHE
 Have both vision and energy to drive and develop our engineering team

Purpose & Key responsibilities of the role:

The Humber LEP is looking to appoint a proactive and highly organised Energy Projects Manager to lead the Humber’s representation within the Local Energy Hub with other LEPs in Yorkshire and the North East, supporting the work of the Hub in the Humber area.

This full-time position, fixed-term to 31st October 2021 (with the possibility of extension subject to funding), will work with local partners, the Local Energy Hub Programme Manager located at Tees Valley Combined Authority, BEIS sponsors and other LEPs to construct and move to deliver a pipeline of priority local energy propositions for investment from public and private sources.

The appointed person will be an advocate for the area’s energy strengths and opportunities. They will develop and maintain strong relationships with the wider energy community in the region and will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the Humber Local Energy Strategy, identifying and leading the partnership response to opportunities that would support delivery.

The post will involve working collaboratively across a range of partnerships to identify and maintain a pipeline of local energy projects and support partners to develop them into investable propositions.

Duties include monitoring Government energy policy and funding announcements, identifying opportunities for the region and co-ordinating the response where required; supporting partner organisations to develop and realise local energy projects; monitoring and reporting as required the progress of relevant projects in achieving their objectives.
